SAIF L2TP VPN - MAC
Please note that no more PPTP in apple IOS 10 and macOS Sierra, so please use L2TP VPN we provided on IOS 10 and macOS Sierra.
1. Click on the Apple in the top left of your screen and select"System Preferences..."
2. In the sectionInternet and Network, select"Network".
3. Below the left hand section where your Connection types live there is a small plus sign, click on"+"
4. ForInterfacechoose"VPN", for VPN Type choose"L2TP over IPSec", and forService Namechoose a name for your connection something like"L2TP VPN", then clickCreate.
5. Now on the left hand side, you will have a new connection with the name that you just choose, go ahead and select it so that we can start to configure it. Enter the theServer Addressas"l2tpvpn.saif.sjtu.edu.cn". Then click onAuthentication Settings...
6. Then underUser Authentication: with Password selected type your SAIF password. UnderMachine Authentication: withShared Secretselected type090419then click OK.
7. Select the checkbox forShow VPN statusin menu bar and then clickAdvanced.
8. Go to theOptionstab and make sure"Send all traffic over VPN connection"is checked.
9.To connect: On the top right of the menu bar there is a VPN icon that when you click on, will give you an option to connect to SAIF L2TP VPN.
10.To disconnect: On the top right of the menu bar there is a VPN icon that when you click on, will give you an option to disconnect from SAIF L2TP VPN.
