On April 20th, Leila Guerra, Deputy Dean of Imperial College Business School (ICBS), visited the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The SAIF attendees at the meeting included Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs and Faculty Hong Yan, Deputy Dean Tan Wang, and MF Program Faculty Director Xianglin Li.
During the meeting, Professor Hong Yan provided an overview of SAIF's current situation and the recent development of its programs. He emphasized that, in alignment with the national strategy of science and technology innovation and sustainable development, SAIF has identified three major development directions: Innovation Finance, Digital Finance, and Sustainable Finance. SAIF has also implemented a systematic and cutting-edge curriculum system that is highly compatible with that of ICBS. Professor Yan expressed his belief that both institutions have a strong foundation for cooperation and looks forward to future collaborations.
In turn, Deputy Dean Leila Guerra introduced ICBS's program development, partnerships, faculty recruitment, and talent cultivation. She conveyed her desire to establish a deeper and closer cooperative relationship with SAIF.
Both parties agreed to establish a long-term strategic partnership by signing a framework strategic cooperation agreement. This partnership will leverage their respective resources to promote cooperation in various teaching programs, faculty and doctoral research, and to advance collaboration in the fields of sustainable development and financial innovation.
